Renewable
A poem by
Douglas R. Gempel
But we really need to use our brains,
Because our world is dying,
And I am not lying,
I see the writing on the dam wall,
We may crumble and fall,
Into a deep abyss,
Because of our energy sys (tem),
We have concepts and technology
To use better Psychology,
For on the earth,
We need to save our worth,
And create renewable energy sources,
Rather than plain old “horses”,
We can capture energy from waves,
Think of how many barrels it saves,
We can capture the sun rays,
On Pseudo Glass trays,
Or enjoy the weather and wind,
So our planet doesn’t bend,
As we salvage our world and the earth,
We can capture renewable energy and its
worth,
And save our place,
For the human race.
