Creating Underworld Living Habitats for Mankind and Humanity

Overhead view of possible use of proposed undersea habitat
Artist's concept of a Human underwater City Habitat in the coastal waters above an ocean reef.

Neptune Station would be a place where mankind can correct past errors in ecology and environmental issues and research and determine what can be done to reverse some of the damage that has been done to the planet because of global warming, climate changes, eco-system disasters and similar potential threats as well as a place to learn about exploring hostile environments for future exploration in space.
Man has damaged the "balance of nature"(Sherden, 2011) and if we do not recover now we could be facing our own extinction at some point in the near future.  We need to address government policies through UN facilities to get all member nations on board with the proper protocols through conferences like Kyoto Accords Conference which was sanctioned and sponsored by the UN.  The other major contributor is corporate greed and power coup's that control major resources like water and oil around the world.  These power consortiums need to be better regulated to eliminate the hostile intent of their specific control.  Resources need to be shared equally among citizen nations based on per capita population numbers and not who has the most money to pay for them.

Future fusion

Future fusion

We are losing our resources and developing into a planet that has complicated problems to solve with not much global resolution.  The oceans are dying. We are consuming a majority of the world's resources as our own and controlling other resources that need to be shared with humanity so everyone can thrive.

We have but one home-a great blue marble in a sea of darkness.  We ignore the possibilities high speed electric rails can give us and focus on gas guzzling and resource consuming personal vehicles.  We are celebrating our freedoms in the U.S. while we damage ecosystems globally.  Not individually but collectively we need to stop the insanity and work together for a better safer tomorrow before the fires of HELL consume the earth.

Predictions and trends in Social Science that affect us

Predictions
Aug 11, 2013
A Poem By Douglas Gempel

In our world we depend on minds,
we enhance our thinking and reduce the binds,
that stifle our lives from the hatred that thrives,
for in a prediction we are seeking the future,
so that man doesn't bleed from a ripped open suture,
we cannot withstand a major issue,
because we will need more than tissue,
so if our trend suggests the end,
I suggest we bend to break that trend,
once we predict we are not cast in stone,
but we could end up all alone,
for as we go at the issues of man,
we are wrapped up in a garbage can,
for in our view of the future,
we can only hope that we work to nurture,
and save the planet from ourselves,
or force the opposite and dwell in hell.

MOOC's or Massively Open On-line Courses are a new trend in higher education and learning today.  Their popularity has risen as the open source and creative commons worlds converged on an internet or world wide web of open collaboration and learning among all people.  This trend is expected to continue according to the New Media Consortium's recently released 5 year view at education and technology called the Horizon report on education.  This report is viewed by a panel of experts using a modified Delphi Method of inquiry that determines these trends and technologies by posing surveys to a panel of over 40 experts in various sciences, education, engineering, and technology fields from all over the world.

Delphi Method or NGT Method?

WHICH IS BETTER, DELPHI METHOD OR NGT METHOD?

Nominal Group Technique or method is best used when the panel may not know the full scale of this issue or problem.  These issues can be resolved by a combination of individual and group creativity using input from all panel members based on merit not status or position in the organization.

Delphi Method has been around since the 1950's and was developed by a team of researchers from the Rand Corporation.
It utilizes multiple rounds from panellists who are experts in their fields and have contributed significantly to the body of human knowledge.  They are surveyed on a specific issue or problem and they respond to the issue in each round till a quorum is reached to render a viable solution.

Space, The Final Frontier?

Space, the Final Frontier?
A poem by Douglas Gempel
July 23,2013
As we tumble forward in time,
Man is as green as a lime,
When we reach for the distant stars,
We realize we need rocket cars,
To take us to and fro,
So mankind can grow,
From one small blue marble in the sky,
So the human race does not die,
For if we fail to recognize our issues,
We may need something more than tissues,
To save our earth,
Create new worth,
By moving to space,
To save the human race,
For as we move towards a bright new future,
We need to cure our swollen suture,
Because now and forward,
As we move toward,
A crowded place,
In swollen space,
To create a new place,
To save the human race,
For in the end,
We must win,
And spare the earth,
And save our worth,
For those that come later,
Like a space invader,
Free at last,
From turmoil and blast.

Channelling Einstein! 14 year old genius on scale of Einstein-Now 19

This young man has a vision for our future.  Watch the embedded video and determine if the world is ready for this technology.  We may not have a choice because its already been developed.  Thoughts to ponder:  How many other teenagers or younger people are there in the world with the capacity to do this?  Are we at risk?  IS the world ready for a teenage Einstein?  I think this young man is a visionary but we must also consider some of the potential ramifications if this technology were to fall into the hands of a rogue government or terrorists that have a nefarious idea to thwart this for their own purpose.  What do you think?
